ONLINE STORE COMING SOON!

My first ever series of original paintings. I’m calling this collection “I tried to learn how to paint and had a variety of tantrums in the kitchen” 🙂 I’ll be selling framed and unframed A4 prints very soon.

Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Tell your eccentric neighbour who always smells like marzipan…

Painting 3.
Acrylic on watercolour card, A4.

I painted a very similar composition to this in high school (over 12 years ago!) and I thought it would be fun to create a new and improved version, so here she is!

The old painting hangs in my parents dining room, where it serves as a glaring beacon of unfortunate cack-handedness. Painting no. 2.
Acrylic on watercolour card, A4.

For my second painting, I wanted to carry forward the theme of warmth and oversaturation. I introduced a reflective element and had a delightful time wrestling with a variety of teeny-weeny brushes. Oh and I slapped it all on a chess board to create some interest in the foreground.

Painting no. 1.
Acrylic on watercolour card, A4.
My first original painting since I was a school kid. I thought that a classic bowl of fruit composition was a good place to start, given that I was essentially learning to paint again. Overall, I am very pleased with the result and find the warmth and oversaturation of the piece to be very charming. I can assure you that I did not repaint the pear three times and almost cry about it 😉
