Greetings All,

The Archaeological Museum and Department of History, Union Christian College, Aluva, presents Webinar Series-III: *"Changing Perspectives on the Iron Age and Megalithic Cultures of Peninsular India"* by Dr. Jenee Peter.

"Both Iron Age and Megalithic have been problematic terms in recent years. The shifting of Megalithic culture from late prehistory to early history has made a lot of difference to our previous understanding. This change has to be seen in the wider context of peninsular India and not at the microscopic site level. At the regional level, the past three decades have led to many more discoveries and excavations of both Early Iron Age or Iron Age-Megalithic sites. Vast majority of the Early Iron Age sites are signified by burial monuments. This session discusses the changing perspectives in this field."

The talk will commence at 4.00 p.m IST on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

All the queries and concerns raised during the session will be addressed by the resource person.
