AUBURN, IN- Only 62 days to the 54th Edsel Owners Club Annual Convention in INDIANA!

We're PROUD to present this year's MEET LOGO & T-SHIRT DESIGN! It's HERE!

🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

Background on this year's design:

AMERICAN GRAFFITI premiered August 2, 1973 and was released on August 11, 1973. Commemorating the 50th Anniversary seemed natural--- especially with having lost Cindy Williams earlier this year in January.

So the middle part of the design is just that--- with a notation of both along side the AG Edsel in front of Mel's Drive In!

The top part of the design represents Auburn EDSEL history to its core. D & M Motor Sales was the Edsel dealer in Auburn all three years. They were one of the last remaining Edsel only dealers when the 1960 models hit the market. The art derives from a period photo provided by Phil Skinner --- it is cool the dealership is still decked out in EDSEL to this day.

We have complete sales records for all the Edsels sold at D & M. The 1959 and 1960 represented here are just like cars D & M sold new! The only Edsel convertible sold new in Auburn was a Talisman Red 1959---- and a turquoise '60 sedan- was the only '60 they received.

The turquoise '60 sedan is also a nod to a two time Best of Show winner at EOC Conventions past--- the late Roger Hill's low mileage original '60 Ranger four door which won Best of Show not once- but twice: at Reading, PA, in 1976 and again at Williamsburg, VA, in 1981.

Lastly, the Auburn script is derived from the lettering design of the ROUNDUP script used on '58 wagons.

So here you have it...

SEA ISLE CITY, NJ - From SEA ISLE NEWS: More than 100 vintage cars and trucks appeared in an antique auto show along Sea Isle City’s oceanfront Promenade on Father’s Day to cap off the Skimmer Festival Weekend celebration.

An array of vehicles graced the Promenade, ranging from muscle cars and vintage trucks to a World War II Army Jeep and a variety of eye-catching sedans, some dating back to the early 1930s.

Altogether, 105 cars and trucks were part of the show. At the end, two vehicles received trophies.

The “Best in Show” trophy was awarded to Joseph Satkosky, of Sea Isle City and Fort Myers, Fla., owner of a 1958 Edsel Citation convertible, which boasted a shiny black paint job with red and white trim.

Way to go Joe & Kathleen!

NORTH PLAINS, OR - Kathy Grant O’Malley reports: “We had a lovely day today with the Oregon Edsel Club. A beautiful Edselcade through the Oregon countryside to the home of Bob & Carol Gutmann. We enjoyed lunch in their amazing greenhouse & even took home bedding plants which they generously shared. It was a perfect Edsel kind of day with friends & their cars.”
