Built in 1867, Fort Richardson, located in Jacksboro, is probably one of my favorite places to go.
The officers quarters is undergoing repairs at this time and wasn’t open for the tour.
Kids enjoyed learning about the everyday life of the soldiers that were posted there.

Took the kids out to Wizard Wells the other day.
I knew a lady that’s buried in the cemetery there.
The kids seemed to enjoy learning about the different markers and monuments as well.
You have to pass that kind of information down or it gets lost.
