Acknowledged with dozens of international awards, Jaqueline Vanek, based in Madrid, Spain, strives to explore the dark and the melancholic that play in the depths of her inner world. Her self-portraits are largely journeys to self-discovery and a means to be understood by the world around her. Having spent 20 years in all aspects of visual art and design, Jaqueline has found her niche in fine art photography. Her work has adorned the covers and pages of countless magazines and publications, often marked by unique uses of light and contrast in her black and white photography. Always reflecting extremes in mood and character to give her audience a deep and meaningful view of her perspective on the world. “I managed to find myself in the conceptual and fine art realm. In a world of twilight, dark and cold, as a means of expressing who I am.”
