This is one of my favorite digital composites where I've used maybe 60-80 pieces of other digital photos to create a deeply layered and heavily textured composition of Money Plant leaves. No symbolism here. The leaves have a wonderful translucence that lets me play with their light. My admiration for 17th century Baroque painters is apparent and this is about as close as I can get to their romance without painting another Girl with a Pearl Earring.

I call this "Beggars Theater" I think this was lesson #23: show desperation while remembering to hold your cup firmly at a 45 degree angle. I watched him get into position.

Here's one of my composite digital paintings made from maybe 100 bits of other photos. My palette, Photoshop. I shot the cows in VA, the chicken in the UK and the leaves in PA. The chicken tends a herd of tiny cows under trees made of spinach leaves from our garden. Nature is often odd but the cows seem to be enjoying the grass from our lawn anyway. Getting the lighting to work believably in these compositions is often a challenge.
