Amelia Dall, Amelia the Archeologist

Amelia is the person who collected the info on Deaf Museums in the USA that we've been sharing! A rising star!
Two quotes from the interview:
"Ask Amelia Dall what advice she’d give to younger people, and she boils it all down to one word. “Perseverance is key,” she says. "
and:
"She ought to know. The 31-year-old is an archaeologist for the Bureau of Land Management — not an easy job to attain, since most positions in archaeology are temporary or contracted. And she happens to be deaf."

Ask Amelia Dall what advice she’d give to younger people, and she boils it all down to one word.

Looking to explore the rich culture and history of the Deaf communities in Europe? Look no further than the European Union of the Deaf's (EUD) virtual exhibition on Sign Language Recognition in the EU!

Through carefully curated materials and immersive experiences, visitors to our exhibition can discover the milestones and achievements of the sign languages over the years. But don't just take our word for it - visitors have been raving about their experiences, with comments like "I want the same in my country" and "want to see more of that."

And we're not done yet! We continually strive to improve our exhibition and value your feedback. Don't hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas with us through our feedback form - your input could help shape the future of the exhibition.

We at EUD are proud to share our culture and experiences with others, and we believe that our exhibition is an excellent opportunity to do just that. So what are you waiting for? Step into the world of the EUD and explore our virtual exhibition today!

At equalizent Schulungs und Beratungs GmbH in Vienna, it was our final day of filming … we were recording the introduction to our online course which we will be sharing with you later this month.
The project is coming to an end which is sad but exciting at the same time as we finalise our outputs which means lots of new stuff to show to you! It seems like the time has passed so quickly; we started on 01 October 2020 back in the days of online meetings, and now we are preparing our final report!
At equalizent, we have interviewed more than 30 people, from teenagers to nonagenarians, filmed nearly 600 videos, produced one completed online course in , finished one virtual / physical exhibition in 3 languages, and dedicated many many many hours of work, researching, filming, editing and cutting, drafting texts, translating, layouting and much much more.
As we pack up our film studio, stay tuned! We promise to share more of our finished work with you in the coming weeks 🤞🏻.

It's an old See Hear post, but still very interesting. Dr. Paddy Ladd, living and working in his personal Deafhood Museum in Bristol. Raised orally, didn't meet another Deaf person until he was 22!

We would like to share a few impressions from our recent partner meeting Equalizent Schulungs und Beratungs GmbH in Vienna.
Frankie signs:
Where are we? In Vienna! The Deaf Museums project partners are attending a meeting here. We are discussing and sharing our project. It is very good! We have been meeting on zoom and now we are able to meet in person! Each partner is working on in-country exhibitions and it is interesting and exciting!
