“Seeding beauty”
The absolute and indispensable importance of breaking down the wall of indifference towards the tiny processes that surround us is expressed in the inversion of the roles of the work’s protagonists. What happens if we resize our ego and bring to the forefront the hidden wonders of pure creatures? What happens when indifference is nullified by recognizing and caring for the small things?
“Woman” portrays a body painted with the objective to talk about itself in the world, a body shared in its true shapes, through more truthful and intimate poses. Through a visual language that goes beyond traditional standards to reveal the authentic and unfiltered essence of femininity.
“La voix humaine” is the staging for the play by Jean Cocteau. A woman is traveling in a metro car, alone and looking upset, throughout the journey the protagonist is busy talking on the phone. This is not only a story of an audience listening in a private conversation, but the tale of an indifferent society focused on its own individuality. In this environment human interaction is almost nonexistent; a feeling of coldness, as much physical as emotional, envelops the space, contributing to the air of discomfort and disorientation.
“Morgoth on his throne” is a digital painting depicting a character from the Tolkien universe. On his throne, the imposing figure of the Middle Earth’s dark enemy exudes malice and authority, while his flaming eyes look at the viewer with superiority. The background is filled with smoke and flames, a representation of the chaos that follows in his wake.
“Pure Heart” is a painting that brings us into a surreal coastline landscape, where a blue sky meets a sparkling turquoise sea. In the forefront there’s an ethereal element suspended in the sky, that evokes mystery and serenity. The surrounding stone and cement structures, with their solid essence, oppose the lightness of the reflection in the water.
"The Ethereal"
The butterfly, focal point of the artwork, is depicted as a symbol for weightlessness and emotional tranquility. Embedded in an ethereal and dreamy landscape, it wants to bring the viewer to a state of peace and internal equilibrium, more and more difficult to reach in the path of life.
"Listening" is a digital illustration that captures the feeling of a quiet afternoon at home, enveloped in the warm and comfortable sunset light.
“Black-in News”
The lifeblood of democracy is found in every uncensored word, it’s the breath of a society that lives and grows in the light of transparency.
"Venice '24" Is a collection of snapshots portraying the city of Venice, capturing its misty atmosphere and those suspended moments that often slip away unnoticed.
“Impatience” is a digital illustration describing a child while she looks at her teeth in the mirror. The artwork is inspired by the artist’s memory of wearing braces for the first time, capturing the emotion and happiness of that moment. This illustration celebrates the joy and impatience in the small changes in life.
“Show must go on” invites us to explore the artist’s life stage with an autobiographical piece full of symbols and pop culture references. Between masks and hidden characters the stage is alive with memories and unforgettable feelings. The frog in the glass, the disappearing figure, the pearls, all are elements connected to the artist; that with her detached look invites the audience to be a witness to the chaos of her life. An invitation to reflect on resilience and the beauty of strong bonds.
“What is not seen” explores the duality of vulnerability and resistance. The feather, symbol of weightlessness, struggles to emerge under the weight of the boulder and the horizon, representing our everyday obstacles. Despite the chaos, the artwork shows how even the most delicate elements can withstand unimaginable burdens.
“Steps of Faith” invites us to discover the historic store of the master cobbler Vincenzo Caratozzolo in Acireale, where art and devotion harmoniously meld together. Vincenzo creates magnificent sacred sculptures, transforming his workshop into a shrine to tradition and spirituality. Ours seems to be an era without myths: verifiable knowledge and innovative technologic practices seem to have replaced ancient narrations.

“Visions” is back, the only recurring exhibition in Vam Gallery without a theme, giving the artist full artistic freedom. We are proud to present our new exhibition “Visions 2024”, going live on 16.06.2024. Our only recurring exhibition without a theme. Visions is an intentionally broad title, the aim is to give every artist the possibility of expressing themselves freely, narrating their vision of the world through “the eyes” of Art, depicted in all of its facets, reflecting different identities and individual visions.

VamGallery presents a new event in collaboration with the Albanuova Snicolò. Le querce parlano d'arte - quarta edizione will take place Sunday 12 September at the Villa "Lanza Filangeri" in San Nicolò. Along with musical performances and theatrical sketches there will be an art exibition that will also be available online on www.vamgallery.com .

Federica Calleri “Tautegory”, in the making for more than a year, portrays the same subject in every photograph, although with a difference, the passage of time. A bench becomes an excuse to describe the changes happening within the space of the frame: it isn’t just time that changes the space, but also the actions of the people that live in it.

The main subject of “Multiple States” by Giovanni Pennisi is a landscape, specifically an unmanageable, solitary and sublime landscape that entrances and at the same time instills dread. An unlivable scenery, but also a dimension in which the individual can reflect and recover a sense of self.

Il soggetto principale dell’opera di Giovanni Pennisi “Molteplici Stati” è il paesaggio, in particolare un paesaggio ingovernabile, solitario, sublime, che affascina ma allo stesso tempo incute timore.
