Have you ever wondered what really lies behind a page?
There’s more to a page than just numbers. It’s not just about views, likes, hearts, and followers.
Behind a page, there is a person.
In my case, it’s me—and a passion called New York. 🗽❤️
I created Ciao NYC simply to share what I see and what moves me—images that might look like just a street, a building, or a sunset to some, but tell a story to me.
Then you learn that simply posting isn’t enough.
You have to understand the algorithm, try to reach more people, and accept that one video might be seen by thousands while the next gets only a few hundred views.
You invite someone to follow you, and maybe they do. Someone else might not. Some follow and then leave.
And inevitably, the question arises:
“Is it still worth it?”
Perhaps it is.
Because every time someone hits ❤️, leaves a comment, shares a post, or simply stops to look at one of my photos, it reminds me why I started.
You don’t necessarily need thousands of people.
Sometimes, it’s enough to know that on the other side of the screen, there is someone who felt something while looking at a photograph.
A memory. An emotion. The urge to travel. Nostalgia for New York. Or simply a smile.
So maybe a page doesn’t have to become famous.
It just needs to convey something.
That’s my little challenge: to keep telling the story of New York, even when the algorithm decides not to show my posts to anyone. 😅
Because I’ll keep looking at this city through the eyes of someone who can still be moved by a skyscraper, a lit-up street, or a simple sunset over the Hudson.
