FEAR THE BONES

Historically, the skull and crossbones symbol was used by pirate ships in the 1700s to inform targets they’re about to attack.

Jolly Rogers Skull & Cross Bones tail art
first appeared on Navy aircraft beginning with Squadron VF 17 flying F4u corsairs (see link below), then VF 84 flying F14s then VF 103 flying F18s. Altho no T-28 squadron actually bore the insignia, this T-28C’s unique VF 84 livery is a proud testament to the fighting spirit of the Jolly Rogers.

This photo was taken during my last flight with Brett Emeny as he and Peter Vause were working up the Trojan pair routine.
It was am amazing flight, he and Peter were now at the point where they were happy to do displays in front of the public.
Brett's lead flying was so smooth, we were very close together right the way through which showed the high level of trust that Peter had with Brett leading.
We practiced their display routine at least twice during this flight and finished up with a nice low formation pass at the end followed by a break to land.
There are some flights I will never forget, this was one of them.
