We know August feels a long way from the holidays, but the very best Christmas gifts require planning ahead.

The Great Western Cattle Trail Gallery is now accepting commissions for Christmas delivery.

Whether it’s a painting of the old homestead, a beloved car from years past, the spot of your first date, a favorite vacation destination, or any other meaningful scene, we can create it. Pet portraits and people portraits are also available, though these must be commissioned especially early to ensure Christmas delivery.

Our cutoff dates remain flexible and depend on the size and number of works requested. So order early.

Well I guess it is done. 4 weeks ago, I almost painted over it. It just wasn't working and everytime I tried to do something on it, it just got worse. Then one day last week it started to work.
A painter typically has a plethora of incomplete works that never measure up or that the inspiration was just lost. I didn't want to put this in that pile. Never give up....right!
So many great names were suggested but it looks as though based on the comments and likes in the previous post that we need to give a huge shout out to Cale Oliver for naming the painting. So with that here is "Between Heaven and Home". Stop by and see it at "The Trail"

The date is set. July 16th from 10AM to Noon. Please bring your materials and paints. I am not able to provide any supplies other than some easels/tables and the space.Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Original Post (It was discussed at our Rodeo City Artweek Demonstrations last week that it would be nice to get together and paint. No formal instruction, no particular media but just folks that like to paint and would have fun painting with others, learning tips and tricks of the trade.
