No matter how hard I try I cannot seem to link the Museum page on our Bluemoonistic Images page?? Wanted to let you know we met Jarrell Jones of Architectural Restoration in Tazewell VA working on their depot! We were excited to meet someone who had worked on our 1904 courthouse!
The train depot in Tazewell, Virginia. Originally constructed in 1928, it was closed in 1974 after passenger service was discontinued. It is completely intact on the inside and is currently undergoing a full restoration. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After restoration, the depot will be used as a community space. The contractor working on this old depot Architectural Restoration also completed the restoration of the Old Ashe County Courthouse - Museum of Ashe County History! Small world!
Great meeting you in Tazewell VA! Hope to see you in Ashe County again! You did a wonderful job on the Old Courthouse here in Jefferson NC! Keep up the good work and we'll be back to Tazewell Train Station to take more pixs when the depot is finished!! Check out the pix on our Bluemoonistic Images page!
Glad to see restoration of the beautiful old structures. They don't make 'em like they used to.
