A quiet morning. A watchful buck. A moment worth painting.

Watch as I bring “Velvet Morning” to life, capturing a deer resting among sunlit grasses and woodland shadows. From the soft velvet of his antlers to the textures of bark and stone, the details tell the story.

For those who love wildlife art and the quiet beauty of the outdoors, “Velvet Morning” is available to purchase through L Wood Scapes.

Every landscape begins with a single brush stroke.

I love watching a painting slowly reveal itself, layer by layer, until the light, color and texture come together to tell a story. This time-lapse captures the journey behind "Feathery Light", from a blank canvas to a finished piece inspired by the beauty of the natural world.

I hope it reminds you to slow down, look a little closer and find wonder in the places nature quietly invites us to notice.

If this piece speaks to you, I'd love to hear what you see in it.

The canvas is finished, but there’s still a little color left to share.

When I finish a painting, I put the leftover paint to work on my studio wall. Little by little, it’s becoming a piece of art of its own.
