Horror Wood is permanently out of business. I have no idea why this page is still here, as I have asked for it to be taken down a number of years ago! Sorry for any confusion.

07/03/2016

Hi kids. Because our beloved haunt, Horror Wood, has closed it's doors for the final show, (the same can be said of our sister haunt, Goth Manor), I will be ending this page, as well as the Goth Manor page. If you are a former cast member and want to be added to our private group, send a message to Jack Sandberg. If you are a fan, I will add a fan page shortly. If you really need that Horror Wood/ Goth Manor fix this October, make that short (?) drive to Newnan Georgia, where Goth is partly alive and well....at the Fangtastic 13 Stories Haunted House! The haunt has ended but it's spirit lives on! Thanks for all the wonderful memories and support!

Friend's I'm looking to sell off my event, or have someone buy in to my business. I have some personal debt that needs paid, but I'm pretty firm on my price. I wouldn't mind adding to, or combining with, another event, and a change of scenery would do me good. In addition to the haunt, I have an inventory of make up Fx moulds for prosthetic masks and props. These are not for sale, but I could supply a variety of iconic and original characters for a haunt, cast from these moulds. I would also be willing to design, direct, manage a makeup crew, and design any kind of horrible creatures you can dream up. Of course, that would be in addition to my asking price. My dream is to have a studio producing haunt props year around. I need a change. I've been haunting since 1990 and doing makeup longer than that. I want out of the business part and to focus only on the creative part. Please call if you are interested. Thanks! 316 285-8480 ask for Jack.

Hi everybody. It's been a long time. I'm working on a project that may result in our haunt having a bright future. I'm not divulging any details at this time. At this point I'm nervous and excited. I will be making official announcements soon.

One of my facebook friends has passed away. Actor Robert Zbar famous as Maniac Cop. Sadly, I had visited with him about being a celebrity guest at Horror Wood. I loved him in Tango and Cash. RIP.

Soon My F/X company, Outback Jack Studios, will be adding a functional piece of art, for sale, to support a larger, more spectacular event! This will be a Zombie E-CiG/pen holder, creepy as Hell, and featuring our Horrorwood logo. My team will supply free labor, so 100% of profits after cost of materials, will go to fund this years' event! Each piece will be hand signed, and a bargain at only $15.00. If you love Zombies, you will FREAK over this one! Stay tuned for "making of" pics and updates. With your help, this will be the most over the top Horrorwood EVER!

Pictures of my Reaper incense burner that I made way back in '91. It lays on a table, and sticks fit into a hole int the hour glass; the robes serving as an ashtray. You can hang it on the wall, and the bottom tray holds a brass cone holder for cone incense! I haven't figured out how to use this camera yet, and these pics are in poor light. I thought I would post them, anyway. I will be selling these for 15 bucks a piece. In stores, they have sold for 20, or more, so it's a good value, and the piece has more detail than these pics show. Let me know what you think.

A friend of mine pointed out that my links to the web site (listed next to our likes) are hard to read, with the bright green background and red lettering. I wanted to point out that my real website doesn't have this problem. I'm not sure why it looks this way on facebook, or exactly how to fix it. If you click on any links within these pages, you will end up on my website, and find it much easier to look at!

This work is from various artists on Pinterest. Not all of them included credit for who did the work. None of this is MY work; just inspiration.
We have our first contest entry! So where are all the other hardcore makeup freaks? Maybe you need some inspiration? Here is some pics I grabbed from Pinterest. This stuff inspires me, so enjoy!
