🌸BLOOM ALERT🌸
Pollinators buzzing about the Shakespeare garden can’t get enough of Allium ‘Millenium’. You’ll find busy bees mingling with butterflies, such as the Red Admiral butterfly pictured. This ornamental onion stays compact and blooms tirelessly.

Take a walk down the stone path in the Wildflower Meadow to enjoy many blooming perennials. Eryngium leavenworthii will catch your eye with its truly spectacular shade of purple.

Dahlia ‘Contraste’ located in the Margie Button Memorial Garden is a real showstopper. The large blooms can measure up to 8” across! Be sure to dig up your tubers before the first frost in fall, if you plan on saving them for next season. Place your tubers in a crate filled with wood chips or sawdust, in a cool dark place protected from freezing temperatures. Plant your tubers next spring a few weeks after the last frost date to ensure the soil is warm enough to plant in.

My plant now lives at botanica I grew it for over 40 years
I had only been to Illuminations at Botannica in the last decade, so I was pleasantly surprised by the Children's Garden! WOW! We had a group of 14, ages 3-90, and thought the highlight would be the carousel. After all, several of us had great memories of riding it at Joyland. But then we found the Downing Children's garden and watched our little ones play for over an hour! THANK you for a great day Botannica staff!
Can anyone verify if this is indeed a Monarch caterpillar on our milkweed? We have around ten and looks as though they are eating the top of the plant.
Hope all is well in your little corner of the world this cold day. All is well in mine except I noticed some parts froze off my brass monkey .
Anyone looking for tickets for the weekend message me
I am looking for 2 Adult tickets to any time slot for illuminations for Dec 12th. I am willing to pay double the price for them.
The walk through was good, but disappointing due Covid Rules. It was only half the normal show/lights at full price. Kids area was gone. I also did not like the one way traffic so you could not see things again. Hope it returns to full sized show or I will no longer be going.
Why doesn't Botanica get a group of master gardeners together from each state and start a project to restore the "new" White House Rose Garden, as nearly as possible, to its former glory? It be a spectacular symbol of our new Administration.
Are you sending out friend requests?
Can anyone tell me if the membership runs from date of purchase to one year or is it Jan thru Dec?
Fun at Storytime Tots Tales & Tunes. Every Thursday at 10:30 AM. Purchase tickets in advance at https://shop.botanica.org/Events.aspx
