The Float below- meet at 5:30pm in Woodland Park
ARC Kayak 6/17/15 Twilight Float CHANGE NOTICE!
Instead of floating on the Big Arkansas River from Garvey Park to the 47th Street bridge on June 17th, we will float the Little Arkansas River from Woodland Park (20th & Shelton, near 21st & Arkansas) to the South Riverside Park.
There is high water and a very fast current flow on the Big Arkansas River making it unsafe. The Little Arkansas River is running at a 'controlled' high level and with a fairly fast current, but is reasonably safe and will be an interesting float under these conditions.
Again, no beginning paddlers but persons with some paddling experience should enjoy this float.
More information? . . . Contact Vince at 680-9669.
The Arkansas River Coalition is much more than just a paddle club. If you are not a member of ARC, please consider joining to support its mission to protect, restore and improve the entire watershed and enhance the well-being of all life it sustains.
