Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine The Finnish American Heritiage Society is dedicated to perserving our Finnish Heritage. Our meeting hall located in West Paris, Maine, is not only our meeting venue once a month, but also home to our museum, library and gift shop.

The Finnish American Heritage Society was formed in 1982 as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Finnish heritage, celebrating Finnish culture and educating the community about Finnish customs.

Due to the dramatic local increase in the number of positive Covid-19 tests, Finn-Am has decided to cancel the remaining meetings of 2020. Hopefully we will see everyone again in April of 2021!

I grew up in Fitchburg, MA,......our whole neighborhood was Finnish. My summer time was always spent at Saima Park/kids camp,............Fitchburg, MA. Skiied and skated with all friends and neighbors,............I also taught high school at Masecenic Reg. High School, New Ipswich, NH,....coached our varsity soccer team,............
Looking to network/job wanted.. We moved here from Finland two years ago. My husband is Finnish and I’m from Virginia. He is looking for full-time employment more inline with his career-path. He was an Instrumentation Technician with Helsinki Energy for 30+ years. Experienced in gas, coal, and nuclear power, with many certifications. He is also is extremely IT proficient and can build computer hardware. He has taken online coding courses in his free time. Willing to relocate from Myrtle Beach, SC. He is currently working for Hilton. He has his Green Card, Social Security card, and a South Carolina drivers license. Need benefits and full-time hours, no contract work please.
