BIO - Jim Novak (Writer/Illustrator)
Early in his career Jim was a writer/producer/director for WGN Radio in Chicago. He later became the Head Creative Writer for an independent film/video studio and then the Director of Advertising/Communications for a large agricultural company. For over 25 years he served as an independent creative consultant serving major corporations in areas that included a
dvertising, promotion, multi-media presentations, scriptwriting, business-theater creative treatments, speech writing, etc. During that span of time he worked closely with film production companies, marketing and promotion firms, commercial art studios and advertising agencies. He concluded his career as the Public Relations/Communications Manager for an international organization during which time his business-related articles appeared in trade publications throughout the nation and internationally in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. He is an awarding winning writer - Recipient of two awards from the International Film & TV Festival of New York, recipient of the George Washington Honor Medal – from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, the Tally Award and six awards from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA). He retired in 2017 and in 2022 decided to redirect his creative energy to artwork and poems for the children . . .
