National Children’s Museum will reopen February 2020 in our new home off the National Mall in Washington, DC!
Through interactive exhibitions exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM), National Children’s Museum is uniquely poised to develop young minds. Celebrating the joy of modern childhood, the Museum will spark curiosity and ignite creativity for children from birth to age 12 and engage the whole family.

Reached families across all wards of Washington, DC through community outreach events, including the National Cherry Blossom Kite Festival and the D.C. United STEM Workshop.
Partnered with Children’s National Hospital for a magical time at the Healing Garden.
Installed exhibits and our three-story Dream Machine climber and slide.
Gave a sneak peek of the Museum to 1,000+ supporters in November and December.
Launched family memberships.

News from #NationalChildrensMuseum! We are so excited to finally share our amazing partnership with Microsoft Innovation & Policy Center. Microsoft will power our Tinkerers Studio, providing an interactive and hands-on classroom experience for our young learners, as well as a monthly coding program. In addition, through a generous donation of innovative Microsoft technology, Museum visitors will explore a world of custom color and light with a block-based coding experience surrounding our Dream Machine climber and slide.
