Christian Zapatka Architect

Christian Zapatka Architect, PLLC is an award-winning architecture firm specializing in residential architecture in the Washington metropolitan area. Seeking to fuse the best of both modern and traditional design in order to create classic, timeless structures, the firm designs new houses as well as additions to and renovations of existing houses. The firm is committed to creating comprehensive architectural designs which integrate both site design and interior design.

In 2003, the firm was one of five winners in the AIA Rowhouse of the Future Competition and presented their winning design at the National Building Museum. More recently, the firm was invited to participate in the History Channel’s Future Cities Competition and presented their work at Washington’s Union Station. The firm’s work has been published in numerous publications including The Modern Townhouse (Harper Collins, 2006), Luxury Bathrooms (Harper Collins, 2008), The Washington Post, The Washingtonian, Washington Spaces, Beautiful Homes, Home and Design and Architecture DC. Christian Zapatka’s practice has been featured as a cover story for the Washington, DC newspapers, The Downtowner and The Georgetowner.
