Your generosity for Give Fest 2026 was incredible!! Our goal for the event was $5,000 and we passed that amount and with your support raised over $7,000 for the endowed fund. The partial matching funds will be determined soon.

Our plans for next year are painting the one room schoolhouse and working on new displays in the main museum and the Ag Heritage Building.

A million thanks for your support to preserve our Trego County history!

We're building the next generation of givers, one kiddo at a time! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Area fifth graders (and some fourth graders in Trego County!) will be part of Give Fest again this year, in a pretty special way.

Thanks to generous local sponsors, these students will receive their own "Give Bucks" to donate to the participating organizations of their choice. Kids receive Give Bucks in $5 increments, then they visit with all of the participating organizations to ask questions and learn more about what they do. When they're ready, they donate their Give Bucks to the groups they've picked. Our sponsors turn those Give Bucks into real dollars -- a sweet bonus for the organizations.

🧑 Fifth graders in Ellis County will each receive $15 to donate to the participating organizations of their choice, thanks to the generous support of Insurance Planning, the Fred and Jean Berger, Insurance Planning, Inc. Charitable Fund, and Sunflower Bank. Every grade school in Ellis County is participating!

🧑 In Trego County, First Federal Bank, a Branch of Lyons Federal Bank, of WaKeeney will provide $10 in Give Bucks to students. Because Trego County has fewer fifth graders than the other counties, First Federal Bank is once again including fourth graders.

🧑 And in Rooks County, the William H. Andreson Charitable Trust will provide $10 in Give Bucks to all fifth graders. We will proudly welcome Plainville Grade School and Damar Elementary to the in-person event!

We've been visiting classrooms to talk with students about giving back, local nonprofits and what to expect at Give Fest. And let us tell you, they already have some GREAT questions! We love their curiosity and enthusiasm!

Think about it: We're introducing roughly 450 students each year to local organizations and the idea of charitable giving. Imagine the impact that could have over time! We're helping build a generation that will care about them in the future.

A big THANK YOU to the local sponsors making Give Bucks possible!

And to our participating organizations: Get those creative displays ready. The fifth graders are coming! πŸ˜‰
