Street Racing is bad. BAD. It isn’t something we do and it certainly isn’t something we recommend. But it is a heck of a lot of fun to watch... on the big screen. Which is why Hollywood has...

It is with profound sadness that the Grams family announces the passing of a champion of the collector car community.

Bill Grams, co-founder of the Volo Auto Museum, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at the age of 77. He was a tremendous father, devoted husband, cherished brother, uncle and grandfather, and generous, caring brother-in-law. Often seen in the front row of the auctions of his longtime friend Dana Mecum, Bill was highly regarded and widely recognized by collectors large and small across the country.

Chances are, in fact, if you participated in the collector car auction scene in the past several decades, you shared a laugh with Bill.

Friendly, sociable and knowledgeable, Bill was as much at ease spending the night at the Florida mansion of a former Radio Shack magnate as he was chatting up a couple who only dreamed of purchasing their first collector car.

Bill’s cheerful countenance, his appreciation for the quirky (as evidenced by his recent passion for creating whimsical curiosities out of old Model Ts), his compassion for his fellow man and his deep love for his family will be sorely missed.

Having developed as a youth his passion for collector cars along with his younger brother, Greg, with whom he co-founded the Volo Auto Museum in 1960, Bill Grams cultivated a depth of knowledge few, if any, could match. His carefully curated Antique Malls and pre-war car collection delighted tens of thousands of visitors over the years.

Along with brother Greg, sister-in-law Myra, sisters Georgiana Grams-Kos, Christine Patterson, nephews Brian and Jay and their wives and children, Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn, daughter, Lisa Santiago, her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Mila.

We know we share this loss with other relatives and our many personal and museum friends, as well as the greater collector car community. Bill’s presence was pronounced, and his absence will be felt.

A memorial exhibit is planned.

Anyone visiting Disneyland or Walt Disney World should expect to wear masks and to social distance with fewer patrons around.

New addition, "The Four Little Shavers" from Chuck E Cheese. They will be replacing "The Beagles" while the Beagles are out for restoration. Only 3 sets of the Shavers were ever made and these are the only known survivors to exist. They were part of an ice cream parlor project being tested at 3 Florida locations. The Shavers characters are Nolan, O'Nolan, Curly, and McNolan. The experimental show was made possible by retro fitting a Beagles show with the new characters.

Post your Drive-By Requests Here. Have A Cool Car? Use it for a Great Cause!

We have been getting numerous requests asking for our "cool cars" to do home drive-by's for birthdays and other causes. As much as we'd love to attend each one we unfortunately are not staffed to provide these individual services. This post will provide an area to match people with cool cars and people requesting drive-by's. Post your event details below. If you have a specialty car we encourage attending these events. And maybe, if time allows we may pop up too!

It was fantastic seeing all the smiling faces today as we paraded through the Volo neighborhoods. As someone who grew up in Volo, it was great to see how big Volo has become. When I was a kid population was 200 and you could drive through it in the blink of an eye. Today it took 2 hours to drive through all the neighborhoods! Enjoy this short video from today.

The Village asked if we’d parade a handful of our cars through the village to brighten the day, so we’re going to! Friday at 1:00. The route is posted in the attached images. For those not on the route, we’re going to place the cars in our parking lot afterwards for people to drive through our lot and see the vehicles until we close the gates at 5:00. This will be a small sample of what can be seen at the museum during normal operations.

A song for the holidays while we hope in Spring 2020 the Volo Auto Museum reopens at the time the COVID-19 vaccine is available:
How long will the Beagles anamatronics be in repairs? You mentioned about it on May 5 on your post about it.
A little off topic, but R.I.P. to the Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin long running Tommy Bartlett Ski, Sky, and Stage show:
Have you seen this article about theme parks and how some didn't go into operation this 2020 Summer season due to the COVID-19 pandemic? I don't know if Volo Auto Museum which has yet to reopen falls into that category despite the Volo Antique Malls still open with the COVID-19 safety protocols:
Does the Volo Auto Museum feature bicycles? I know the August 23, 2020 episode of Collector's Call on ME TV featured a collector of bicycles:
It would be cool if you guys were able to get some of the old school playground equipment from restaurants we all grew up with and to bring back those childhood memories.
When are you reopening the car museum??? Cant wait!
In the Northern Advocate (Whangarei, New Zealand) today. Good on you 👍
The General Lee's Granddaughter 2008 Dodge Charger RT Daytona
Thank You so much for standing your grounds of not taking Confederate flag off the General Lee!!
I have just been reading that you had received complaints from a few narrow minded individuals about asking to have the General Lee removed. I was so glad to read that you would not bow down to this stupid pressure. There are over 2000 comments in praise of what you have done by standing up for common sense on this one Yahoo story alone. It is a car from a TV show that we all grew up watching. People need to understand that's what we love...we are not all racists because we loved the show or the car
Thanks for standing up against bullying
