The Realm Keeper Saga: Enchanted Waters Part 10

For a moment, I forgot about whatever had brushed against my hair.

I looked out before me... and froze.

An entire world stretched beneath the water- ancient ruins, glowing crystals, and creatures moving though waters that shimmered with their own light.

So this was where the vortex had brought me.

The Enchanted Waters.

But as I stared into the realm before me, I felt it again.

A slight tug in my hair.

This time, I reached for it...

🌊The Realm Keeper Saga- Enchanted Waters- Part 9

The First Thread

The crystal Ember placed in my hand continued to pulse with a faint blue light.

"You called this a Thread... but it's only a crystal."

"Because it is still sleeping," Ember replied.

She explained that each Thread is bound to a realm. to awaken one, it needs three things:

Your touch, so it knows its Keeper.
Your intention, so it knows the realm you seek.
Your voice, so the path knows it has been called.

I closed my hand around the crystal and faced the sea.

" Enchanted Waters, I seek the path hidden beyond the tide. By the Thread that binds this realm... awaken."

Blue light escaped between my fingers.

A glowing strand began twisting around the crystal, faster, and faster, until it formed a brilliant spiral.

But before the gateway opened...

I saw something.

Another spiral appeared in the darkness- a strange spider hanging beneath it. Behind it, I caught only glimpses of ancient stone and towering shadows.

Then it vanished.

A second appeared.

Pink light twisted through darkness, and beyond it stood a forest beneath an unfamiliar moon.

Then that too was gone.

"What did you see? Ember asked.

"Other Threads"

Ember grew quiet.

"Then Enchanted Waters isn't the only realm calling for its Keeper."

The blue spiral begun turning again.

Faster.

Wider.

Until the air itself seemed to open.

Through the center of the vortex, I could see another world waiting beneath the waves.

I look at Ember.

"What happens when i step through?"

She gave me a knowing look.

"You begin."

I stepped into the vortex.

Blue light surrounded me as the world disappeared.

Then... I felt something brush against my hair.

🔥🦉 The Realm Keeper Saga-Part 8

Ember

The shell-wrapped butterfly led me farther along the shore, its shimmering wings flashing in the sunlight as though urging me onward.

Then it stopped.

Perched near the water was an owl.

Ember.

The butterfly cicled her once before settling nearby.

Ember's eyes followed it before turning toward me.

"So... it chose you."

"You were waiting for me?"

"I was waiting for the one it would trust."

That's when i understood.

The butterfly hadn't been sent to guide me.

It had been sent to tell Ember that i was the one she could trust with what she guarded.

Ember stepped closer.

"Long ago, I was entrusted with a message. I do not know what was given to the other guardian, nor was i meant to. We each carried only what was ours to protect."

Then she spoke the words she had guarded:

"Beneath the waves, the lost still wait- find what the sea guards, and awaken fate."

My thoughts immediately returned to Ash's words.

Two guardians.

Two messages.

Neither knew what the other carried.

But I did.

"Born of a power the realms once feared, A bloodline sleeps while the path disappears. Beneath the waves, the lost still wait- Find what the sea guards, and awaken fate."

For the first time, the warning was complete.

"What does it mean?" I asked.

Ember shook her head.

"That answer was never mine to guard."

Then she reached beneath her wing.

"But this was."

Resting there was a single crystal.

Nothing about something so small should have felt powerful....

but it did.

Ember placed it carefully into my hand.

"If you truly are the Realm Keeper," she said, "then what happens next is between you and the thread."

I looked down at the crystal.

The thread?

Before I could ask what she meant, a faint blue light flickered deep inside it.

Once. Then again. And suddenly I realized...

something inside the crystal was waking up.

The Realm Keeper Saga-Part 7

🦋🌊 Tide Born Treasure

✨The journey back to the shore continues...

With Ash's riddle still fresh in her mind, the Realm Keeper left the Shellcap Cottage and returned to the shoreline.

She had been told to find Ember...

"Where the tide leaves what does not belong."

But as she searched the water's edge, something fluttered in the distance.

A butterfly.

The Realm Keeper stopped.

There was something strang about this one.

Its wings were formed from seashells, pieced together as though the ocean itself had created them. With every movement, its wings shimmered beneath the sunlight like the surface of the sea.

The butterfly settled upon a piece of dark driftwood covered in tiny shells.

For a moment, it simply watched her.

Then it lifted its wings.

A faint shimmer traveled across them.

The Realm Keeper took a step closer.

The butterfly fluttered father down the shore... then stopped and waited.

"you want me to follow you, don't you?"

Its shell-covered wings opened once more.

Ash's words suddenly return to her.

Where the tide leaves what does not belong.

A butterfly made from the treasures of the sea certainly didn't belong on any ordinary shore.

The Realm Keeper followed.

She didn't know where the strange creature was taking her- or whether it had been sent by Ash, Ember, or something else entirely.

But one thing was clear.

The sea wasn't simply leaving treasures for her anymore.

It was beginning to guide her.

Ember was waiting.
