My drive to help was instilled in me from a young age. In 1st grade, I had an art teacher who gave me a compliment on my art talent, then she passed from cancer weeks after. It was that one compliment that got me through the toughest times in my life. Fast forward about 15 years, I got involved in an organization called Camp Sunshine, a free-of-charge camp for children with life threatening illnes
ses and their families. I realized how NOT rare childhood cancer is, but yet how little funding there is for kids with cancer. Then, in 2010, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where I took my first painting class. Little did I know, it was about to help me unleash my inner talent and later go on to help others. In between exploring Italy and eating gelato, one could find me working hard to further develop my paintings in my loft bedroom with an aquamarine blue wood ceiling. Upon returning to the USA, I made it my goal to further develop my eye for detail, self-training for years, while going to school and later becoming an occupational therapist. I got a few commissions, but selling my work just didn't make me feel complete. I wanted to do more - It only made sense for me to give all profits from my artwork to cancer organizations.
*When you buy one of my prints, please know that all profits are going to well researched cancer organizations or causes. If you are unable to purchase a print, please share, share, share. Every bit of awareness can make a difference. Thank you.
*I accept purchases personally (cash/check) or through my Etsy. I can ship anywhere. If you are local and would like to save on shipping, I can hand deliver. I had to pick one flat cost for Etsy, but will reimburse you if the shipping is less. I am happy to provide proof of donations.
