Happy Father’s Day!

Today, we celebrate all the amazing dads, father figures, and mentors who inspire, support, and guide us. At the Eiteljorg Museum, we honor the stories of fathers throughout history—whether they were pioneers of the American West or storytellers passing down traditions.

Bring Dad to the museum today for a meaningful and memorable experience together. What’s your favorite memory with your dad? Share in the comments!

Celebrating 33 years of Indian Market & Festival at the Eiteljorg Museum!

Founded in 1993 by Michael Duty, Mike Leslie, and other founding members of the Eiteljorg Museum, who established our first Indian Market and Festival to feature “the finest in traditional and contemporary Native American art in a festival setting”. Over the years, Indian Market and Festival has featured over 200 American Indian, First Nation, and Alaskan Native artists, delicious food, and performances from Indigenous cultures.

How many years have you been to Indian Market and Festival? Let us know in the comments.

As we close out May’s awareness efforts for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S), today we’re sharing more important information.

🔴 Many American Indians and Alaska Natives believe that red connects the physical and spiritual worlds. Wearing red invokes the help of ancestors and spiritual guides — a sacred way to honor those we’ve lost.

🔴 As a non-Native ally, you can continue raising awareness:

- Wear red

Watch and learn through powerful films and podcasts like Fancy Dance and Murder in Bighorn, or listen to Missing and Murdered: Finding Cleo and Not Invisible.

🏹 MMIW cases remain high across many states, especially Oklahoma, Minnesota, Montana, Arizona, Washington, and Alaska.

🖤 Thank you for learning, remembering, and taking action with us this month.
