Richard Starks Sculptures http://richardstarks.com/ All my work is TIG welded because of its quality and strength - it's the best. Gallery open by appointment only.

Many artists teach themselves how to weld; I learned by taking many classes in high school and college. I've also worked as a welder and metal fabricator for many years. All these experiences have heightened my ability to shape and weld the forms I imagine.

CT-196. A new sculpture shown here just after completion. The patterns I used are on the ground next to the piece. With the weather being very rainy and wet, the change in color of cor-ten steel after only two days outside is amazing.

This is a cable row handle. The red one is one I made for the gym 25-30 years ago. Since I am no longer manufacturing gym equipment, creating this large-scale handle (350 lbs.) has brought back a lot of memories of those days. 🏋️🏋️‍♀️
