We're back with another Park Spotlight! Today, we're shining a light on the home that gives our park its name!

My Old Kentucky Home mansion is one of the park's most iconic features and is rich in Kentucky history. The home was once occupied by the Rowan family, cousins of composer Stephen Foster, who frequently visited the estate. Years later, the mansion was renamed My Old Kentucky Home after Foster's beloved sentimental ballad.

Want to experience this historic home for yourself? We'd love to welcome you! Mansion tours are offered daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There are so many historical and beautiful sights here at My Old Kentucky Home State Park! We are excited to start shining a light on some of the special buildings, venues, and features that make our park so unique!

Today's park spotlight is the Rotunda! The Rotunda is an iconic sight on our park and makes the perfect venue for a wedding, a family picnic, or even a dance floor! The Rotunda was a modern addition to the Federal Hill Estate, but still fits the elegant, yet stately themes of the property. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply looking for a memorable day trip, the Rotunda is a sight you won't forget!
