MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Friday October 13, 6:30-8pm STRAIGHT OFF THE CANVAS Film Screening & Art Reception
at City Gallery in Kenmore City Hall.

In honor of LATINX HERITAGE & DISABILITY AWARENESS of the visually impaired, locally based Museum of Special Art has partnered with film makers Anthony Saldana & Jason Figueira to bring a special presentation of their award-winning documentary STRAIGHT OFF THE CANVAS along with the CANVAS ART EXHIBITION featuring six artists from around the country. The results are nothing short of amazing!

CANVAS ART EXHIBITION is on display at Kenmore City Hall through November 2. Free & Open to the Public M-F 9am-5pm.

CITY GALLERY is a City partnership with AOK Arts in Public Spaces initiative. Support & funding for art exhibition & film screening are made possible, in part, by

Celebrate BLINDNESS AWARENESS & LATINX HERITAGE Month (Sep/Oct) at City Gallery in Kenmore City Hall, 18120 81st Ave NE

Oct 13 - PUBLIC RECEPTION & FILM SCREENING, 6:30-8pm
The public is invited to experience “art beyond just a visual medium” in the award-winning documentary "STRAIGHT OFF THE CANVAS," by NYC film makers, Anthony Saldana & Jason Figueira. The film profiles exhibiting artist Elizabeth Castellano, and Jessica Jones and her students at Lavelle School for the Blind in Bronx, NY.

CANVAS EXHIBITION is an extraordinary exhibit showcasing 25 artworks by six legally blind artists from around the country.
On display through Nov 2.

HORIZON TRAVELING EXHIBITION!

The Ella Sharp Museum is thrilled to be the premier location for this amazing new traveling exhibition from the Museum of Special Art, (MOSA). The Horizon Exhibition features 18 different artists from across the U.S., Spain, and Canada. This exhibition is one that will truly leave you inspired as our community celebrates the artistic gifts and talents of artists with disabilities!

Join the Ella Sharp Museum, Saturday, November 12th for the OPENING RECEPTION OF THE HORIZON EXHIBITION, from 4-6pm.

An Eco-Art workshop featuring MOSA artist Grant Maniér will be presented prior to the opening from 12-3pm.

The Ella Sharp Museum is located on 3225 4th Street in Jackson, Michigan.
