Generally speaking, the Haen Gallery offers the work of established artists whose distinctive and unique style sets it apart from ordinary and imitative efforts. We have seen the prices that most of our artists command for their artwork rise significantly over the years, making their work quite attractive as investments. But most of all, we have had the pleasure of providing for our clients artwork of real value that will be enjoyed for many years and even generations.

Rooted in the tradition of landscape painting, Marc J Civitarese’s work moves toward a more expressive sensibility, distilling shape, form, and light into evocative compositions. His atmospheric landscapes created with oil, wax, & resin can currently be found in collections in Chicago, Palm Desert, and Asheville, as well as in notable corporate and international collections, including Fidelity Investments, The Bellagio in Las Vegas, and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

With all due credit, it’s especially meaningful to see the first piece “Brightness of the Day” make its way to his own hometown in Connecticut, where it will now be enjoyed by some wonderful new collectors. A beautiful homecoming for such impactful work!

As for the rest of this wonderful collection, the pieces are currently available and can be easily shipped and/or delivered. ✨

It’s quite common for Byron Gin’s work to be acquired in groupings. Gray-hooded Sierra Finch and Winter Stroll made the perfect pairing for these new collectors visiting from Miami!

His oil and collage series is exquisitely detailed, drawing viewers in with beautifully rendered birds, Asian scripture, and thoughtfully layered natural elements. Each piece brings together these varied materials in a delightful harmony—equally captivating on its own or as part of a collection.

Gorgeous new work by Rick Stevens is making its way from Santa Fe to Asheville—and we can’t wait to share it with you!

From the dreamy peach undertones to brilliant sunlit yellows, chartreuse greens, and Rick’s unmistakable markings, this piece is an absolute showstopper. Delving far beyond the surface, Stevens builds his works through layers of oil paint and pastels, embracing a process he calls “wax and oil rolling.” The technique is intentional yet leaves room for spontaneous mark-making, creating a piece that feels both thoughtfully layered and beautifully alive.

Taking in the beauty of this stunning plein-air landscape by Lynn Boggess offers a glimpse into the natural surroundings of his home in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Boggess spends much of his time capturing the pristine beauty of forested landscapes, vibrant waterways, dramatic cliffs, and lush vegetation—building each scene with thick layers of paint that are scraped, reshaped, and reworked in ways only a true master can achieve.
