An exceptional display of fine art located in the heart of downtown Asheville. Thus, the visitor to our gallery will perceive a certain sensibility.

With locations in Asheville & Brevard, North Carolina, our hours for each location:

ASHEVILLE – 52 BILTMORE AVENUE
Monday-Saturday: 11am-6pm
Sunday: 12-5pm

BREVARD – 210 SOUTH BROAD STREET:
Friday & Saturday: 11am-6pm
Sunday: 12-5pm

or call for an appointment at either location. Our intention is to provide excellence in quality and service as well as value to our clients. It is also important to us to create a space where the public can enjoy access to exceptional artwork — both regional and national — regardless of their ability to purchase. Our artists, beside their commitment to excellence, share a common bond: a keen appreciation for the natural world. There is a sense of place in the artwork that is appropriate to this wonderful area and any other area where a discerning spirit chooses to reside. Generally speaking, the Haen Gallery offers the work of established artists whose distinctive and unique style sets it apart from ordinary and imitative efforts. We have seen the prices that most of our artists command for their artwork rise significantly over the years, making their work quite attractive as investments. But most of all, we have had the pleasure of providing for our clients artwork of real value that will be enjoyed for many years and even generations.

As the storms give way to the vivid colors of autumn, cool mountain breezes, and endless blue skies, we’re delighted to introduce Larry Gray’s latest ethereal skyscape series.

Step away from the noise of the world and immerse yourself in a moment of celestial grandeur. There is something profoundly moving about the vastness of the sky—a quiet magnificence that evokes awe, serenity, and a beauty beyond words. This is the extraordinary world Larry Gray brings to life through his work. Each painting is a thoughtful evolution, with one vision inspiring the next. His compositions often remain on the studio walls for months, allowing time for reflection, refinement, and the quiet unfolding of each work’s full potential.

For those seeking a truly transcendent piece—one that commands a room while inviting a deeper sense of presence, wonder, and stillness—Breach is an experience unto itself.

Now on display @ 52 Biltmore Avenue in the heart of the downtown Asheville Arts Ditrict.

All the way from Rivergaro, Italy — and already on his way to a new destination! Giacomo Mazzari brings the charm and character of Piacenza to life through beautifully detailed, unmistakably Italian scenes.

Buttery, understated, and pristinely raw, yet rendered with extraordinary artistry. We simply can’t get enough. From captivating landscapes and still lifes to Italian churches, historic villas, and the subtle architectural accents that can only be captured by someone who calls this place home, Mazzari’s work continues to leave us in awe. A true celebration of place, atmosphere, and the beauty found in the everyday.

A whimsical interplay of curly maple, ribbed pine, tethered barn siding, sun-bleached ambrosia maple, raw poplar, and found branches are just a few of the elements woven together in this fascinating new series by Ohio-based artist Melinda Rosenberg.

Each substantial piece carries its own story. Some bear the marks of bark stripped by rabbits; others are fragments of weathered barns slowly returning to the earth, aged and timeworn timbers, beaver-ridden limbs, or simply a humble twig or branch made remarkable by its unique form. No two elements are quite alike, and each can be repositioned to create an ever-changing composition.

Designed to be appreciated individually, in pairs, or—most compellingly—as a small grouping, these wall hangings invite an exploration of texture, history, and the unexpected beauty found in nature and reclaimed materials.

“For me, the river is creating and milking paintings every day, and I want to try and apprehend this flow of imagery in a form that we commonly understand as art. I want to share with the viewer the sense of connectedness that I feel when I’m in and around these places.”
—Chris Foley
