Saddened to hear the loss of a Kansas Legend over the weekend, Brice Durbin. Brice was inducted to the KSHOF in 2005 and served on the Board of Directors. Our thoughts are with his family in remembrance of a great man who's life work impacted so many in Kansas sports.

Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a Kansas legend yesterday with the passing of Max Falkenstien. Max was a great supporter of the KSHOF, not only as an inductee but also served on the Board of Directors. Max always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement. He will be dearly missed by all of us at the KSHOF. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and Jayhawks everywhere, on the passing of this amazing Kansan.

Introducing the KSHOF summer intern: Hannah Jasinski! Hannah is working on her degree at Wichita State and will be helping out this summer in preparation for the 2019 Induction Ceremony and Golf Classic. Happy to have Hannah with us and she will be a great asset to the KSHOF team! Here's a little more about Hannah in her own words:

My name is Hannah Jasinski a native to Wichita, KS. I attend Wichita State University where I am perusing my degree in Sport Management with a minor in Communication. GO SHOCKS! I love to spend time with my family but mostly with my three dachshunds. Wichita is a pretty neat place but if I could pick anywhere to go, I would live somewhere where the weather knows exactly what season it is.

I am creating an archive at Prairie View and I am missing season resutls for individual wrestlers for 1981 and 1985 seasons. DOes anybody have anything that will help? Salina Journal posted win/loss records for each wrestler for every year except these two as well. I am out of ideas.

I would like to know the procedure to get a person on a ballot to be inducted into the KSHOF. The person in question is Kirsten Hanssen. She is a native Kansan and a graduate of Wichita Southeast (1980). I don't know all of her achievements in the sport of Triathlon, but I do know she was Triathlete of the Year 1988 & 1989, not in Kansas, but in the United States!! She also finished 3rd in the World Championship Ironman (2.4 swim, 112 bike, 26.2 run) in Hawaii in 1988 & 1989, one of those years with a CAST on her broken wrist!! Please, somebody let me know what I can do to get this woman a place in Kansas sports history she richly deserves!
Thank you!
