Today was the big install day for our 'City Life' exhibit! As per usual someone ran in to find out why I was taking art down and had to buy a piece from the show coming down! Then someone rushed in to get first look at the show going up and purchased their favorite from the same wall! Congrats Joanne Shellan and Layne Cook Johnson ! You both had pieces find new homes today!

Today a very significant piece of art found its home!
Historical sculpture 'America's Legacy' by artist Warren Pope is now in the beautiful home of a local collector & patron of the arts. This client first saw the sculpture in an exhibit we had at Pacific Place in 2017 for Black History Month. The exhibit showcased art by many great African American local artists who have all gone on to have museum shows and impressive careers. ( that show was a true honor for us to produce) The client purchased a different piece by Warren at that show but never forgot this impactful sculpture, which then went on to a solo show at the NW African American Museum. It just goes to show that great art stays with people, and each piece eventually ends up with the right person. Today was a very full circle moment for gallerist, artist, and our dear collector friend who truly appreciates and supports the arts.
