What’s a birth doula? That’s me!
I am a DONA certified birth doula offering services based out of Clearfield, PA for any local expecting families planning a hospital birth, home birth or planning to deliver their baby at a birth center!

Think of a birth doula as a professionally trained labor coach (to put it very simply!). We are an evidence-based support person that gets to know you and your want, needs, preferences in your pregnancy then joins you while you’re in labor and stays with you until after your baby is born to advocate for those wants, needs, preferences and provide emotional and physical support throughout the duration of your entire labor and delivery. Then, we continue to support you into those early postpartum days and weeks.

So glad I went to the 3rd annual Baby and Toddler Expo in DuBois this afternoon! It was so nice to see so many great resources available to support local families and spread the word that my services are available as well! I’m also PA Medicaid certified and can help potential clients navigate having doula support covered through certain insurance companies! I’m always looking for new ways to help reach as many expecting parents as possible!

This week is all about honoring the sacred, powerful work of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Being a doula wasn’t my first career choice, but it’s definitely the one I’m most passionate about and most excited to continue doing every day!

I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate one of life’s most transformative seasons. Whether it’s offering comfort during labor, helping you feel confident in your choices, or holding space in those tender postpartum days—I am here for you.

The most common questions/comments I hear when someone brings up doula? What’s that? Oh I already have a midwife! Aren’t a doula and a midwife the same thing? How is a doula different than a midwife? After recently relocating back to my hometown, I’m so excited to be serving a community near and dear to my heart! 🏠 While my zip code has changed, my drive for empowering parents hasn’t. I believe in informed, evidence-based choices, continuous support, and creating a calm, confident space where you feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
