One of the most unique pieces in the museum is the theatre curtain on the wall! It has painted advertisements that are a great snapshot of the businesses in town at the time it was used!

๐Ÿ“–โœจ Flip through some Tri-Mont school history!

Weโ€™ve just uploaded the ๐’†๐’๐’•๐’Š๐’“๐’† Tri-Mont School yearbook from 1951! If you were part of the classes from 1951โ€“1962, you just might spot yourself - or a familiar face - within its pages. Tag your friends who might be interested in seeing themselves, former classmates, or family members!

A heartfelt thank you to Ross Bettin for sharing his motherโ€™s [Joan (Clemmensen) Bettinโ€™s] yearbooks and reunion books with us. Your generosity helps keep these memories alive, and they will be treasured for years to come.

Do you have yearbooks tucked away at home? Whether youโ€™d like to donate them or simply have them digitized for others to see on our page, weโ€™d love to hear from you! Please reach out to Ean at 507-639-5711, alternatively, donated items may be dropped off at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont (aka, Trimont United Methodist Church).

๐ŸŒฒโœจ Itโ€™s easy to overlook bits of history hiding in plain sight. Sometimes a tree is just a treeโ€ฆ and a rock is just a rock. But other times โ€” they hold a story. A memory. A quiet tribute from those who came before us. ๐Ÿ’ญโค๏ธ

Weโ€™re honored to share this special story with permission from Darwin Anthony about the Circle of Pines, just south of Trimont near Anderson Park, Whole Grain Milling Company, Gaalswyk Brothers Trucking, Trimont Town Center, Snyder Tree Service, and Ritter Ag Inc. . ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ Next time you drive by, take a moment to reflect on the care, love, and deep-rooted pride that helped shape our town โ€” the same pride that still lives here today. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿก

These quiet landmarks are reminders of what can happen when a small town comes together โ€” hands in the dirt, hearts full, working toward something lasting. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“ฃ Know of another โ€œhiddenโ€ piece of Trimont history? Please share it with us! Letโ€™s keep telling the stories behind the stones, trees, and little places that made this town what it is.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Museum Greeters โ€“ Love history and friendly faces? Help us welcome visitors to our local museum and share a bit of our townโ€™s story during the Trimont FunFest. (Saturday, July 12)

๐ŸŽฒ Bingo Helpers & Callers โ€“ Whether you're calling numbers, handing out cards, or helping tally prizes, Bingo is always a hit with volunteers and attendees alike! This year we will be in the shelter house and out of the sun! (Saturday, July 12)

Board Members Ean Sinn and Linda Schulz were honored to welcome Lenny Tvedten and Jim Marushin for a special tour of the Trimont Historical Museum!

Lenny, Executive Director, and Jim, Museum Curator, were visiting from the Martin County Historical Society in Fairmont. As a fellow MCHS board member, Ean was especially proud to share a glimpse into Trimontโ€™s rich and unique history with the crew from Fairmont.

In addition to exchanging valuable insights and ideas for strengthening our museum, Lenny and Jim thoroughly enjoyed exploring our jam-packed collection of local artifacts. Weโ€™re grateful for their visit and their dedication to preserving Martin Countyโ€™s history!

Weโ€™d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Trent Bonser of B&D Repair for crafting our beautiful new museum sign. Your time, talent, and generosity brought this project to lifeโ€”and it looks fantastic! Thank you for incorporating some old Trimont Oriole colors and old-fashioned fonts into the design.

Weโ€™re also deeply grateful to the Trimont United Methodist Church Women in Faith for their generous donation to help cover the cost of the sign. Your support means the world to us and helps us continue preserving Trimontโ€™s history for generations to come.

It takes a village, and weโ€™re so thankful to be part of this one. ๐Ÿ’›
