🌟 WE ARE BACK!!! 🌟

Officially the 2025-2026 school year has started for all 4 of my little birdies! So many goals accomplished last school year and now many new ones to meet. 💪🏽

Addaeyomi is still in public school and has entered this 12th grade. Leading up to this day has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I’m happy, sad, grateful, shocked, and just all over the place with emotions because our 1st baby experienced his last first day of school. 🥺

Ziya is officially a high schooler! Like how and when this happened is beyond my comprehension. She was just my big cheeks of sassy and now she has blossomed into the sweetest and most loving teenager. If you get to meet her, you will understand just how magical she is. 👑

Ajahni is now at the halfway mark of middle school as a 7th grader. He has goals to finish all of his school work early so he can get more time to focus on Engineering specific electives before the summer. I believe he can get that done! 👨🏾‍💻

Ayinde is now a 3rd grader! He has shown so much growth from last school year. Speech and OT, his tutors, piano, and support has built his confidence! He is so excited to see what this new school year will bring. And I’m excited to witness him in all his glory. 🙏🏾

Goodbye 2024-2025 School Year!!! 🎉

I am beyond proud of all 4 of my little birdies and wanted to share some highlights:

⭐️ Addae has been consistently putting effort into getting on a routine with competitive soccer and school. His GPA has increased AND we are finalizing his college Options. 🏫

⭐️ Ziya has blossomed into a young lady who knows exactly what goals she wants to achieve in life. She finished off the school year with all A’s in every subject! 📕

⭐️ Ajahni has shown more and more interest in being an Engineer in the future! Although he started this school year with little interest, he ended with a bang. ‼️

⭐️ Ayinde has overcome so much this school year. He repeated 2nd grade because we learned about his different learning abilities. With a new team in place, he not only passed, he exceeded in every subject! 👏🏾

This school year has taught me more in more to meet your children where they are, navigating life together may not always be smooth sailing, and celebrate all wins!

⚡️ FLASHBACK FRIDAY ⚡️

Happy New Year and all the good things! 🎆

This year we have so many things planned as individuals and as a family. I’m looking forward to seeing them come into fruition. 🙏🏾

Here are some things we would like to share with you:

🎨 Homeschool: We attended a pottery decorating class at our local library. The kids absolutely enjoyed themselves and would like to continue attending. Catch a clip of them chatting while painting! 🎥

🪴 Gardening: As one of their Kwanzaa gifts, we got the kids a tower garden! This will allow us to grow our own fruits and vegetables.

✂️ Sibling time: As the kids are getting older, I’m noticing that they are actually enjoying each others company. Do you understand how much arguing takes place from the time they wake up to the time they shut their eyes for bed? Yeah, it’s way more than catching a glimpse of admiration of your oldest giving his younger brother a line up. 🥹

🫶🏾 Quality Time: Each and every one of my kids have always made it very clear that they don’t like sharing me with one another (especially their daddy). 😂 So here I am basking more into solo time with each and being as present as I can be.

⚡️FLASHBACK FRIDAY⚡️

A few weeks ago we started our 2024-2025 Homeschool year. This makes year 4️⃣ of this journey. 👏🏾

So here are a few things we would like to share with you:

🍩 Traditions: Since we began homeschooling we always wanted to make sure we made the 1st day feel special. We homeschool year round so unlike traditional school, our start date varies by the year. One thing that won’t change is the kids getting their favorite drinks and donuts. This year was different since I just got off an overnight postpartum shift so this note awaited them while I napped. 😂

📚 Classes: The kids are on a new virtual program that allows them to take learning everywhere. Ayinde goes to “class” twice a week so our middles got to choose where they would take class…. They chose Panera so we made it a lunch date! We got to browse through their classes, meet their teacher, and discuss what our goals are for the new year. 🙏🏾

Today was celebrate and honor those who sacrificed, were sacrificed, and suffered for us to be here today. Many Americans celebrate July 4th as their Independence Day but for us, we celebrate Juneteenth.

⚡️ FLASHBACK FRIDAY ⚡️

Happy Black History Month! 🖤 ✊🏾

We have been quite busy at The Rhodd Household and here are some things we would like to share with you:

😷 The Flu: We don’t want to share this with you but wanted to share the importance of staying hydrated, taking your vitamins, and resting. 5 out of 6 of us were sick and it was so intense! The most challenging; taking care of my family while I was sick. But we got through it! I even made soup which came out pretty good for my 2nd time ever. 🛌 🥣

📚 Homeschooling: We are enjoying our current curriculum, classes, and extracurriculars! Ayinde is still enjoying his weekly phonics class on , Ajahni is breezing through his subjects (even Art which he isn’t fond of), and Ziya has began to be ahead on submitting assignments! We even made it to our co-op today to take part in activities learning about Heroes in action! The kids wrote Thank you cards for our local service men and women, learned about service aids, and even had an escape room! So much fun AND learning. 🚒 🚓

🩷 Community: I am honored and thankful to be the Treasurer again for 2024 chapter! We have so many events coming up that I’ll be sharing here as well.
