The Adair County Historical & Genealogical Association (ACH&GA) is a non-profit organization maintained by volunteers. Located in the rehabilitated 1915 Kansas City Southern Railroad Depot, the association collects countywide research materials, genealogies of county families and museum artifacts of historical and cultural significance. Volunteers proved research and genealogical assistance to ind

ividuals interested in learning more about their families' past. Tours of the county history museum provide access to tangible artifacts that provide a deeper appreciation of the county's history.

Everyone is invited to another great ACH&GA community meeting at our new Cherokee Nation Community Building at 708 W Blackjack in Stilwell, on Thursday, April 16, at 6:00 p.m. Our featured speaker will be Missy McGee Earl, who has roots in Adair County. She will speak about her ancestor, George Buckskin Waters, and the book that was written about him, THE CRYING OWL. Missy will also explain her research process. Come for a time of learning and fellowship.
