It's a busy summer at the Pottery. Production is in full swing as what we are currently throwing will be ready for the Virginia Clay Festival and our busy fall season. The shop is full and our rebuilt kiln configuration has enabled a beautiful range of colors.

This is what goes on behind the pots at Blue Ridge Pottery. We have spent the last twelve days (of Christmas) redesigning, rebuilding, and renovating our production kiln. We finished yesterday (1/2/22) and we will fire the kiln with a glaze load as soon as this snowstorm ends, probably Tuesday 1/4/22. Pictures are in Chronological order starting with the finished kiln and going back to demolition.

It's an exciting day at the Pottery as we open the kiln and celebrate Alun's birthday. The first fifteen customers to wish Alun a happy birthday will receive a live orchid. Inviting all our local friends and family to come visit between 9 and 12 on Saturday 12/4.

The shop is fully stocked for the busy summer and fall season. The studio is in full production mode getting ready for the Virginia Clay Festival in September 18,19. Every horizontal surface has Pottery in various stages of our six week production process. Our shop is open every day 8am to 8pm.
