Congratulations to our associate Adrianna Taylor on the opening of her show in Ruckersville at the Red Barn building behind the Visitor Center. The show includes paintings, large multimedia pieces and some of her work at Blue Ridge Pottery. The show carries on until the first week in August.

It's a busy summer at the Pottery. Production is in full swing as what we are currently throwing will be ready for the Virginia Clay Festival and our busy fall season. The shop is full and our rebuilt kiln configuration has enabled a beautiful range of colors.

We have this page to protect our name. You will be able to see much more frequent and up to date posts on the page simply called

Here are some recent photos posted on our main page. The Pottery is very full of some beautiful pieces and the studio is currently bursting at the seams as we continue preparing for the Virginia Clay Festival in September.

Our rebuilt kiln has produced a wonderful first glaze firing. With the new design we are able to get back the old green and aqua colors . Some very pretty porcelain pieces in this load.

This is what goes on behind the pots at Blue Ridge Pottery. We have spent the last twelve days (of Christmas) redesigning, rebuilding, and renovating our production kiln. We finished yesterday (1/2/22) and we will fire the kiln with a glaze load as soon as this snowstorm ends, probably Tuesday 1/4/22. Pictures are in Chronological order starting with the finished kiln and going back to demolition.

It's an exciting day at the Pottery as we open the kiln and celebrate Alun's birthday. The first fifteen customers to wish Alun a happy birthday will receive a live orchid. Inviting all our local friends and family to come visit between 9 and 12 on Saturday 12/4.

Glaze kiln opening this morning. Another of our back to back loads in preparation for the Virginia Clay Festival. For collectors, we have plates coming through again after selling out earlier in the summer.

The shop is fully stocked for the busy summer and fall season. The studio is in full production mode getting ready for the Virginia Clay Festival in September 18,19. Every horizontal surface has Pottery in various stages of our six week production process. Our shop is open every day 8am to 8pm.
