THREE NEW sculptures now at the Fairbanks Campus in Grant Beach!
With funding from the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC), this installation is the first step in a long-term partnership between the Drew Lewis Foundation and SWS.
In addition to the three sculptures at Grant Beach, Sculpture Walk installed five more pieces along the Boonville corridor, linking Downtown and Commercial Street as part of its Fall Curated Collection. This is the latest step in Sculpture Walk Springfield’s goal to make public art available to everyone, in every neighborhood.
This collection showcases large, colorful works by Texas-based, internationally recognized artist Jeffie Brewer.
Executive Director Bridget Bechtel said, “This is an effort SWS has been eager to make happen for a while. The programs offered at the Fairbanks campus enrich the lives of so many, and we’re excited to be included among programs of that caliber.”
The Fairbanks is already a place full of art and community, and the new sculptures bring that to more people in the Grant Beach neighborhood. DLF and SWS plan to keep working together to add new sculptures at the Fairbanks every year.
The sculptures are on view now at the Fairbanks at 1126 N. Broadway. We’re excited to share this partnership at the Fairbanks Fall Festival on September 25, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM. A free dinner, ice cream, bounce house, and more will be available.
