We’re so excited to announce that The Echo Collective is starting a monthly juried art show! Flip through this post or keep reading for more details...

Applications for these themed juried shows are open to all artists in the Greater Houston Area, creating even more chances for artists to show their work, meet other creatives, and get their art in front of new people.

September's theme is "Dreamscapes: A Surreal & Fantastic Art Show" — a show all about the strange, dreamy, whimsical, unusual and completely out-there worlds that live in our imaginations.

We’re looking for work inspired by dreams, nightmares, surreal landscapes, fantasy worlds, abstract emotions, strange creatures, and anything else that feels like it belongs somewhere just a little outside reality.

🎨 Application Deadline: September 16th at 11:59 PM

🖼 Exhibition Dates: September 26th–October 3rd, 2026

📍 The Echo Collective Gallery — 322-A Gentry St., Old Town Spring

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! The Renaissance Rumpus returns to Old Town Spring!

On Saturday, September 19th, come spend the day exploring Old Town Spring as the village fills with knights, pirates, costumes, trinkets, and a little Renaissance mischief!

Wander through town on the Pirate Rails, hunt for treasures in the shops, enjoy themed food and drinks, get your face or body painted, and don your finest Renaissance attire for the costume contest.

Along the way, you may run into Bash & Banter (.banter) roaming the village in full armor and showing off their skills, or find the pirates of holding court at Elixir Lounge.

And if tiny treasures are more your will be at Trilogy Brew with her Trinket Trading Table! Bring something to trade, pick up a new treasure, or join her Trinket Trading Panel at 1PM to learn more about how the tradition works and the etiquette that keeps it fun.

There will be plenty to discover throughout town, so grab your crew, dress up if you’d like, and make a day of exploring!

A little extra color just made its way into the gallery.

Garnet & Vine ( ) has brought a new medium into the gallery! This 100% cotton, hand-dyed tie-dye blanket!

One of our favorite things about having so many different artists and makers under one roof is that they rarely stick to just one medium. Our artists are constantly experimenting and trying something different, so you never quite know what you’ll find when you walk through our doors.

Sometimes it’s something for your walls, sometimes it’s something you can wear, and sometimes it’s something you can curl up under. 💜

Stop by Echo Collective Gallery in Old Town Spring to check out Garnet & Vine’s newest addition and explore work from over 30 other local artists and makers while you’re here.
