Here is the skull of our newest two headed longhorn calf. Our skeletal articulator Amanda took it to a whole new level and this has become an absolute work of art. Here’s some interesting facts and details about the skull and how its anatomy was.

Diprosopus Bos Ta**us skull with spinal accent.
Congenital disorder where the egg starts to split in the formation of twins, but stops, resulting in partial or complete duplication of facial features.
This guy lived for 36 hours but then passed naturally.
One enlarged brain with two frontal lobes. Two separate facial features that were connected posteriorly. Both faces moved dependently meaning both tongues, mouths, eyes, noses, moved simultaneously. Both lateral ears were operational. Both lateral eyes were operational. Medial features were not operational. Both mouths moved and had open connection to a single trachea and esophagus. Both sinus cavities were complete. The right face seemed to be more dominant than the left.
This is considered conjoined twinning with a 180,000 in 15 million result and risk, 50% being stillborn, and with this extremity, 100% fatality.

You can see him in person at Abby Normal’s Museum Of The Strange in Harrisburg SD.
