I had one of the most magical evenings of this-here-late spring, in this-here-year of 2026…
Amidst all of the chaos happening on our planet…with everything going on..all we see, hear, read, and absorb in this modern world that is trumpeting forth such division within the human family…it just all disappeared within a little tiny space and time provided by art and music in Ruston, LA tonight.
The core of the NELA artists and musicians within this community is spectacular.
I’ve got to share about it..✨
🎨 Scout Wilson—-wow…beautiful human being with one of the most colorful expressions in art I have ever seen..Truly. This was her first time on the Ramble, and she’s moving on from here, but if you encounter this artist out West maybe, I promise you will not forget her..
Let her tell you sometime what inspires her art…you will be intrigued and in awe…
✨Dylan, a most kind fella behind the lens of the camera, played my dad’s kalimba..
Those who knew my dad, know that Pops cherished the gift of music. I’m not sure what he would have to say about his thumb piano being a part of my petting zoo😂, but I know he would have loved the song Dylan played.🎶
✨Hollin and John, the owners…more beautiful human beings..
Hollin brought the purple instrument to hang out with the petting zoo! Not sure what it’s called (maybe one of you reading this might? Don’t be shy! Hahah..Tell us if you know so there’s no Google search necessary!😂♥️) Hollin brought it with lil mallets that Poe couldn’t resist..🐈⬛
✨Smokey absolutely took that snapshot with Miss Poppy🪗 before being scooted out of my seat so I could sit to play.🎶
✨and yallllllll..Lady Chops was rocking it with that washboard tie!! 💃I bout couldn’t hold on to my guitar! I tell you the truth! Lady Chops is DA CONFETTI!!!
Another incredibly brilliant, kind, thoughtful human being.
That was the vibe, friends and darlings..joyful, magical vibrations of collectively kind, mindful, creative people hanging out (or strolling thru on their own ramble..)
So many smiling faces, and LAUGHTER, how great it feels to laugh!
I must not leave out that Kirby Rambin and Austin George were killin’ it next door from the balcony floor inside of the Gilbert Center…where more soul-moving art hung poised upon the walls, and the most stunning, finely made wooden bowls in the back…)
Beautiful evening.
…(and let me definitely, definitely, not leave out the rain…sweetest rain ever for a ramble through art)…
