I'm sharing "Frosted Harmony" because its soft pastels and quiet tones bring a calm winter presence that fits nicely in a cozy corner of the home. A cool ribbon of blue reads like a stream, pale rose and lavender catch the remaining light, and thin white trunks create a simple, steady rhythm against deeper greens. Did you know that Kurt and I work as a team when we travel? He's a photographer and I'm an artist. He drives our motorhome and I keep it clean!

He is an excellent photographer but I actually go along behind him and take my own images . We may work as a team but we each have our own ideas of what makes an incredible composition!

I am honored to be chose and included amongst so many beautiful pieces. One of my pieces is from the New England coast and the other from Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains.

I found an alpine valley behind the ranger station at Logan Pass that felt like a quiet secret. The image settles three rounded rocks into a sunlit slope, white wildflowers at the path’s edge, evergreens rising against a violet-tinged rock face. The late-afternoon light and the balance of cool purples with deep greens give it a calm, steady presence I wanted to share.
