Home of the curious, weird, and frankly freaky, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop blends gift store and free museum in a historic location that has anchored Seattle’s waterfront since 1899. Visitors can enjoy an eclectic mix of treasures that rivals Ripley’s own collection, while shopping for intriguing items that reflect local heritage, such as Pacific Northwest Native American hand-carved masks, paddles, and model totem poles. A selection of gifts and souvenirs includes jewelry made with real insects and fossil ivory, dazzling framed butterflies from the world around, and genuine Russian nesting dolls.
On-site oddities gathered over the course of five generations range from genuine mummies and shrunken heads, to paintings on the heads of pins, to freak farm animals such as two-headed cows, four-legged hens and piggies with two tails. Visit Ye Olde Curiosity Shop and you, too, will be amazed, be amused, and be curious!
