80 Objects. 5 Decades. One evolving story of American craft.
"OBJECTS: USA" brings artists from the landmark 1969 exhibition into dialogue with contemporary makers, featuring works by pioneering figures, including Wendell Castle, Kay Sekimachi, George Nakashima, and Art Smith, alongside contemporary makers such as the Haas Brothers, Kim Mupangilalai, Jolie Ngo, Roberto Lugo , Tanya Aguiñiga, and Nicole Cherubini.
Organized in partnership with New York gallery R & Company, this new iteration traces that lasting impact on making and material culture. More than 50 years later, "OBJECTS: USA" feels freshly charged. This expansive survey invites us to reflect on what we make, what we value, and how both have shifted over time.
