It might be a squirrel-sized oil painting… but I’m not putting it in a squirrel-sized gallery 😅
This little one was actually the first step toward the large painting next to it.
Before committing to a big canvas, I like to paint a tiny version to figure out what actually matters in the scene… the light, the balance, the feeling of it.
Because when a painting gets large, every decision matters.
This small study helped me strip away everything unnecessary so the final piece could breathe.
Kind of amazing how something this tiny can shape something much bigger.
Which one do you like more: the little study or the large painting?
