The community is invited to decorate a themed or traditional tree, or one honoring a special person, group, or event to display in the Museum’s conference room during this Holiday Season. In addition to trees, holiday themed wreaths can be displayed. The Winter Wonderland will also feature a nativity, carolers, snowmen, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, a Christmas village, and other traditional displays to create a festive and fun holiday experience for everyone.

Civic organizations, churches, businesses, industries, offices, schools, etc. are asked to decorate a tree with their theme, related logo, or items symbolic of the organization. Themes can be whimsical, traditional, or unique. Sponsors must provide their own tree, stand, skirt, an extension cord, and any items for under the tree. Wreaths must be ready to hang.

Trees and wreaths can be set up beginning November 18, 2017 and removed after January 3, 2018.

The MoMA and the Saltville Fire Department are planning an exhibit about the local Fire Department for the Saltville Hall . We need pictures, memorabilia, uniform clothing, patches, equipment, awards, certifications, badges, etc. Any photographs of department members, fire trucks, training sessions, fires they fought, activities, parades, etc. would be helpful. So many of our friends and neighbors were volunteer fire fighters and we would like to remember and honor them in this exhibit.

The display will be open for the Labor Day weekend, so bring your things by the Museum as soon as you can and we will do our best to include them. Anything you bring for exhibit should have your name on it so we can return it to the rightful owner later in the year. Please help up us make this a nice tribute to our dedicated volunteers.
