Arts Education & Learning - Utah Arts & Museums

Arts Education & Learning - Utah Arts & Museums Arts education is about an advancement of mind, soul, and spirit. Arts education and learning are vital to the development of creative, well-rounded, independent thinkers.

We define arts education to include dance, theatre, literary arts, film/media arts, story-telling, music, folk and traditional arts. Beyond k-12 we encourage engagement in the arts for individuals of all ages. Outside the classroom, arts learning takes place in after-school and community settings. Through arts education and learning, we aid in the nurturing of engaged citizens of a global society.

Mission: To demonstrate, advocate, and emobdy the principle that the arts are essential to the lifelong education of all Utahns.

UAEA - Utah Art Education Association is seeking an artist/teacher to create UAEA's awards this year. They need 12 awards and will pay $50 for each for a total of $600.

Each year the Utah Art Education Association recognizes art educators and supporters for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom. Keep in mind that the awards are going to be received by a variety of individuals, so it should appeal to a large audience.
