How it's made! I start with a ceramic piece and I use this sandy-textured paint called underglaze. I individually paint and design each piece one of a kind. Then after letting the paint dry for a day I dip your piece in clear glaze. What will be clear glaze anyway. It actually looks green before I place it in our ovens. Then after letting it dry for another day I finally put in the kiln (our special oven) for about 17 hours. This is no ordinary oven. In the most cases, it reaches 1829 degrees Fahrenheit (998 degrees Celsius)! Then finally, after a long anxious wait for the temperature to drop, your piece is removed, sanded (to remove sharp points!) and carefully packaged in 100% previously used shipping materials.
