Extremely rare view of the RR trestle at Randolph. This is around 1988 and is looking north on the west side of the bridge.

Rob points his Pentax K1000 at me while I point my Pentax Spotmatic F at him......at a location we're saying goodby. The CNW filed for abandonment on this line and soon it will gone. We get our last shots before that happens.

Northbound #164, with an interesting mix of power, including GP9 #4523, one of 34 units purchased from QNSL, meets #163 at Randolph, July 1976. The CGW north-south mainline is long gone. Remaining business is handled by Progressive Rail, which also works east to Cannon Falls and west to Northfield.

Sad this bridge was taken out. Who here has jumped off of this bridge? The river was pretty deep in a certain spot.

My Dad Louie is the first player in the back row on the left. Number 30, or Dirty Thirty. I think number 24 is Ray Taylor and number 28 is Bob Child’s.

I barely recall seeing this house as a kid and was located on the current parking lot for the fire department. The photo with the car was from the parade in 1976. I think the house was burned down in 1981?

A friend of mine sent this to me the other day. Sad to see it go but the timbers inside were very solid when they tore it down.

Randolph, Minnesota, circa 1990. Taken by the late Ben Pennington. Collection of Ryan Heath. By this time, the former Chicago Great Western yard in Randolph had been taken over by the Chicago & North Western. It is now in the hands of Progressive Rail and is a busy spot.

As of today, the Train Show is still on for March 28th & 29th. The Randolph HS will make a decision early next week whether to allow the show or cancel it. If cancelled, the next Train Show will be in March 2021. Thanks Wade
