Kassandra Ellison Fine Art Multi-disciplinary visual artist exploring human emotion, texture, and storytelling through oils, watercolors, acrylics, and clay sculpture.

What I have found necessary to explore with painting has been the use of space within the painting, by mainly trying to reflect and contain the use of a room, or object, as an extension of the sitter, that will further familiarize them in there social setting. An example of this viewpoint I have undertaken consists of the residents daily routine, for example: A favourite chair or cup. Other necessary explorations that I particularly focused on were the use of color and what I used to apply paint, for example tempera and encaustic. The use of different mediums also became important, rather than using mostly oils. I tended to use more acrylic paints, and Gouache or watercolour, with only a few done in oils. Art History heavily influenced the way my painting headed, it became even more important to rather than just paint everyday and sometimes read about Art History, it became as important as painting, reading as much as doing art. https://kassandraellisonfineart.webs.com/
