General information

Directory of Early Michigan Photographers was compied by David V. Tinder (passed in 2016) with the assistance of the U of M Clements Library and many others. Before Dave's death he asked me (Randy S. Gladstone) to fulfill his research of 19th and 20th century photographers. I have been researching Michigan photographers for 24 years and have some pretty big shoes to fill. This website was created to honor David V. Tinder and to create a place where his many friends could help further his research. With this said, you can help after viewing the Directory and providing Images and Sources. Without an accurate source your help will be "in pending". If your images are High Quality you may email me (up to 25mb per email). Thank you for your time and effort. Upon approval, your efforts will be credited in the updated version "Directory of Early Michigan Photographers 2.0". Randy S. Gladstone November 2017
